Words. Where would we be without them?

Words make the world go round. Whether we speak them, sing them, write them, read them, listen to them, teach them, learn them or even invent them, they are the very crux of our existence.

Words have shaped our history and will fashion our future. They have won wars, lost wars, formed alliances and broken bonds. Words convey truths and deliver lies. They act as shields to hide behind and build bridges to new possibilities.  They help us to discover and develop, to rediscover and remember.

Words can inform or misinform, endorse or condemn, make a deal or break a deal. Words can deliver the right message, or present the wrong one.

We may speak in a multitude of tongues, but words are our common denominator.

So, if you’re going to use words, use them wisely, treat them well.
